WHAT IS IT?
The TEAS exam is another type of screening exam some nursing schools use as part of the admission process into their nursing program. The test comprises four main areas.
ENGLISH– Topics include punctuation, grammar, sentence structure contextual words and spelling. This is 55 test item questions.
MATH– These topics include fractions and decimals, whole numbers, metric conversions, alegbraic equations, percentages and ratios and proportions. This is 45 test item questions.
SCIENCE– Topics include biology, chemistry, general science, anatomy and physiology, basic physical principles and knowledge of reasoning. This is 30 test item questions.
READING– Topics include paragraph comprehension, passage comprehension and inferences and conclusions. This is 40 test item questions.
This exam is a total of 170 questions and 3.5 hours.
